We are committed to respecting your privacy and protecting your personal data (any type of information that can identify you as a natural person). This Privacy Policy describes how we treat and protect your personal data in connection with FK Energy Partners’ business activities, such as conferences, events and customer services and on websites, applications and communications that post a link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, “the Sites”), in our capacity as data controllers.


Information We Collect

FK Energy Partners collects personal data in the course of its business activities, including in relation to some customer services. We also collect personal data in certain areas of the Websites when you (i) apply or apply for jobs through the FK Energy Partners Recruitment Portal; creates a user profile (ii) subscribes to FK Energy Partners newsletters and alerts; (i ii) and/or registers for conferences and events and/or participates in public user publishing areas (such as bulletin boards, discussion forums and surveys). The personal data collected varies and may include information provided by you, such as, but not limited to, your name, mailing address, email, telephone and fax, and your basic information necessary to apply for a job.


We may also automatically collect information about the devices you use to interact with our websites. The information we collect automatically may include IP address, device identifier, Internet browser, and browsing information collected through cookies, web beacons, pixels, clear gifs, and other similar technologies (collectively, “cookies and other tracking technologies”) on our websites. We may also automatically collect information about how you use the Sites, what you have searched for and viewed on the Sites. The information collected automatically will be associated with the personal data provided by you.


FK Energy Partners may also collect personal data about you from third parties, such as brokers or data aggregators, in the course of their business activities, including in relation to some customer services. We may combine this data with existing information we have about you, or use it independently, for the purposes of our benchmarking and data analysis activities (e.g., analysis of recruitment practices in an industry, detection of fraud patterns in financial transactions, retail environments). We will always seek to confirm that the third party has informed you in advance of the use of this data by them and FK Energy Partners.


Use of Information

FK Energy Partners uses your personal data to fulfill your requests, process requests to attend conferences and events, personalize the content you view or receive on the Websites, evaluate and improve our services, distribute newsletters and alerts, recruit and evaluate job applicants, analyze the performance and functioning of the Sites, publish your letters to the publisher or your comments, prevent fraud, enforce our terms of use, comply with all applicable laws and corporate reporting obligations, comply with FK Energy Partners contracts, as well as for other purposes you may request or initiate. In some situations, the collection of personal data may be necessary for the operation of the Sites, or we may use it in the course of our business activities, including in relation to some customer services, for example, to provide certain services or products, such as our benchmarking products. We may combine and/or analyze personal data to evaluate and offer more relevant content and services to you. We may keep any of your personal data on file and use it to contact you.


FK Energy Partners and its service providers may use cookies and other tracking technologies (whether owned by you or third parties), including web beacons, to manage our websites and services, and to collect analytics about how you use them. FK Energy Partners and its service providers may collect information about whether you open or click on any link in the knowledge, survey or event communications we send to you. The information provided by this Privacy Policy about cookies also applies to all other tracking technologies.


Our websites do not track you through the collection of personal data about your online activities over time and on third-party websites or online services. As such, we do not change our data collection and usage practices in response to “do not track” signals transmitted from web browsers. Use of Information Collected Through Mobile Devices With respect to our mobile applications, FK Energy Partners may use third-party service providers to analyze user activities to correct errors, monitor usage, and improve the performance of the mobile applications. For example, r FK Energy Partners reports on some of the aggregate usage and navigation patterns of some of our mobile applications, including information about the type of device used, articles accessed, and other events that may occur in our applications. FK Energy Partners also receives reports about certain errors that occur in mobile applications.


The legal basis by which we process your personal data

Our processing of your personal data for the purposes mentioned above is based on:
in part, in our legitimate interests in promoting and protecting FK Energy Partners, building and maintaining relationships, recruiting and providing our services; in part, with your consent, for example, if you create a user profile or register for our newsletters or alerts, or for business purposes that support web operations, such as understanding and improving the quality of your experience on our websites;
in part, to comply with the law, where certain information is necessary to satisfy our legal or regulatory obligations. Data recipients and international data transfers Personal data collected in the course of FK Energy Partners’ business activities, including in relation to certain customer services, as well as on the websites, may be transferred, from time to time, to subsidiaries and affiliates of FK Energy Partners, its employees in its global organization, as well as to our third-party service providers located around the world, even in countries where local law may be stricter than that of your own country. By using any of the websites and providing information on any of them, you voluntarily consent to the transfer and hosting of information across borders.
FK Energy Partners will not knowingly disclose or transfer (and take the necessary steps to prevent unauthorized or accidental disclosure) your personal data to third parties without your consent or as otherwise permitted by law, whether for third party marketing purposes or otherwise, except as mentioned below. FK Energy Partners may provide access to your personal data to third party service providers engaged by FK Energy Partners to provide services related to the Websites, as well as services related to FK Energy Partners’ business activities, including in relation to some customer services, in the manner agreed to in our customer service agreements.

We maintain processes designed to ensure that any processing of personal data by third parties is consistent with this Privacy Policy and protects the confidentiality, availability and integrity of your personal data.

User Forums

You need to know that whenever you publicly disclose information online, that information may be collected and used by others. FK Energy Partners is not responsible for any action or policy of third parties that collects information that users publicly disclose in such forums on the Websites.


Links to Third Party Sites

FK Energy Partners may provide links to third-party websites or information as a service to our users. If you use these links, you will leave the sites. These links do not constitute or imply an endorsement, sponsorship or recommendation by FK Energy Partners of the third party, the third party website or the information contained therein, and FK Energy Partners shall not be responsible for their use. Social network

The websites may allow you to connect to and associate your social media accounts, including but not limited to Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube, to the FK Energy Partners website. The Sites may also allow you to connect to a FK Energy Partners account using certain social network account credentials. By linking your social network account to FK Energy Partners or connecting to a FK Energy Partners account using your social network account credentials, you grant us permission to access information made available by you in your public profile for such social network account. The information available on your public profile varies by social network and your settings, but may include your email, real name, profile picture, gender, and location. We use the information we receive from your social media account in accordance with the social network’s terms of use and this Privacy Policy.

Safety

FK Energy Partners has implemented generally accepted technology and operational safety standards to protect personal data from loss, misuse, alteration or destruction. Only FK Energy Partners personnel and authorized third-party service providers are granted access to personal data, and such employees and service providers are required to treat such information as confidential. However, despite these precautions, FK Energy Partners cannot guarantee that unauthorized persons will gain access to your personal data.


Data Retention

FK Energy Partners preserves personal data as necessary for the duration of the relevant business relationship. We may also preserve personal data for a period longer than the duration of the business relationship. We need to preserve them to protect ourselves from legal claims, use them for historical record keeping or analysis, or comply with our information management schedules and policies. If you request the deletion of your personal data, FK Energy Partners will reasonably attempt to delete all instances of the information in its entirety. Your rights

Where granted by applicable law, you may have the right to request access to the personal data we have collected about you for the purposes of reviewing, modifying or requesting deletion of data. Additional information regarding the protection of personal data in Brazilian territory (subject to the LGPD)

If you access our Sites when located in Brazil, you will also be subject to the specific rights and guarantees provided for in the General Data Protection Law (LGPD), which will complement this Data Protection Policy as presented below. We emphasize, therefore, that the other provisions of this Policy remain applicable to users subject to the LGPD, as applicable.

Users subject to the LGPD will also have several specific rights that can be exercised upon request to FK Energy Partners , which includes.
Right to Confirmation of the Existence of Treatment. At any time, you have the right to confirm that we are processing any personal data relating to you.

You have the right to request that we disclose or provide you with access, in a clear and appropriate manner, to information related to the processing of your personal data, such as specific personal data about you that we collect, together with the categories of sources from which they were collected, the purpose of their processing, the period during which they will be stored, and the categories of third parties with whom we share your personal data.


Right to Correction: You have the right to demand the correction of any incorrect, incomplete or outdated personal data we hold about you
Right to Anonymization: You have the right to demand that your data be treated in a way that they no longer have the possibility of direct or indirect association with you. This is only possible in situations where the personal data in question is considered unnecessary, excessive or processed in a way that does not comply with the provisions of the LGPD.
Right to Block: You have the right to request the interruption of the processing of your personal data by us. This is only possible in situations where the personal data in question is considered unnecessary, excessive or processed in a way that does not comply with the provisions of the LGPD.


Right of Exclusion. You have the right to request that the personal data we collect from you be deleted. This is only possible in situations where the personal data in question have been collected with the consent of the holder or if such data is considered unnecessary, excessive or processed in a way that does not comply with the provisions of the LGPD. Please note, however, that in certain situations we are not obliged to delete such personal data, such as: (i) when the data necessary to complete the operation for which your personal data was collected; (ii) for the preservation of our right of defence in any legal proceedings in the future; (iii) to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation; (iv) to ensure the security of our Sites or otherwise legitimately use your previously anonymized internally data.

Right to Review Decisions Based on Automated Processing: You have the right to access clear and adequate information regarding the criteria and procedures used to generate a decision that has been made solely on the basis of automated processing of your personal data.

We value the security and confidentiality of your personal data. Therefore, if you exercise any of your rights described above, we must first verify your identity to make sure that you are the person from whom we collect the personal data. We carefully check each request as indicated in the “Your Rights” Chapter above.


In addition, FK Energy Partners is committed to immediately responding to your requests and questions for the exercise of your rights, so if this is not possible for real or legal reasons, you will be informed about this scenario.
Please note that these rights apply to the personal data we control or share, even if we use a service provider to collect or process the data on our behalf. If this data is transferred to third party operators such as service providers, they will be notified to take all necessary measures in order to comply with the requests of the data subject.
Changes to the Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time. Whenever we make any material changes to this Policy, we will alert you to those changes.
